On Converting: Poplast welcomes the new Miraflex II flexographic press from Windmöller & Hölscher
Converting features Poplast’s new technology acquisition.
Converting reports on Poplast’s new technology investment. Speaking on our behalf is Francesco Costanzo, prepress manager, who defines the new machine as “the Swiss army knife” of flexographic printing for its efficiency, quality and flexibility.
“Our choice fell on the full optional model, seen and tested at the demo center,” says Costanzo, “which we also wanted for its special options such as modular downstream units and high-capacity drying systems.”
The machine purchase occurred only after preliminary tests conducted in Germany. “We wanted to prevent possible complications and ensure color rendering alignment with our other flexo machines already in operation.”
The machine’s advanced technology allows not only to gain speed, standardization and repeatability, but also to perform in a single pass jobs that previously required multiple phases (such as printing and varnishing), reducing production costs and times.
Converting’s article, besides covering technology and production, also addresses the Group’s vision. This time it’s Carlo Callegari (CEO) who shares the international growth projects, the push for customization and the development of increasingly high-performing green solutions.
We are a Group with 50 years of history behind us and significant growth underway (+10% in volumes in 2024 and +30% in employees over the last four years for a total of 250) and with a strong orientation toward circular economy (100% of our product range with recyclable alternatives, based on simpler structures that maintain PP or PE polymeric barriers unchanged, aluminum-free, Cyclos and Aticelca certified).
Thanks to Converting for capturing much of our vision!
